Blitzen is located a few miles South of the Frenchglenn Hotel South of Burns. the town of Blitzen is located about due West a mile or two of the Roaring Springs Ranch in Catlow Valley, I visited the town numerous times in the late 80s and into the 90s when I lived in Burns. There were a number of buildings still standing including the post office and a two story hotel. Southbound into Catlow Valley just prior to reaching the Roaring Springs Ranch there is a dirt road to the rlght that takes you there however in later years the Roaring Springs Ranch locked up the gate and stopped anyone from going there. There was even a rumor that the ranch was going to bulldoze the town under but hopefully that’s not true.
