Rick is an avid photographer, writer, and historian, especially of the Pacific Northwest. This website is dedicated to photos from his travels throughout British Columbia, Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, and Northern California, along with as much historical information as can be found about each location.

Filming location “Ronette’s Bridge” from the popular TV Drama, Twin Peaks. The Pacific Northwest has long been a place for Hollywood to film as far back as Buster Keaton’s silent comedy “The General,” to modern movies and TV shows such as Battlestar Galactica and Grimm.

In addition to this website, he also runs EVintagePhoto.com a site dedicated to collecting and preserving 35mm slides from the past and showcasing the images they contain to a larger public.

Sumpter Dredge

The Sumpter Gold Dredge pulled gold up from the rivers for years. But were left to rot after the gold was all gone. You can still visit it in the Ghost Town of Sumpter Oregon.

Seattle Downtown

In addition to the large number of Ghost Towns in the Pacific Northwest, it also encompasses several large cities.

Gallon House Covered Bridge

The amount of logging in the Pacific Northwest left it’s legacy upon the landscape. Many beautiful covered bridges dot the region, some of which have their own colorful histories.
