Schuebel Cemetery in Clackamas County Oregon

The Schuebel Cemetery was established in 1880 on an acre of land donated for the purpose by John Gard. There was an Evangelical Church across the road, said to be one of the first built in the area. It has long been gone though. (If anyone has pictures of this church, please let me know!)

Interestingly, the first burial in was that of Don Ford, in 1890. His grave stone is no longer visible, nor does his name show up on any other listings I have access too.

Today, the cemetery is hard to find. It’s on the curve of the road, hard to see when coming from the south, and parking is non-existent. Address is 23901-24199 S Beavercreek Rd, Beavercreek, OR 97004, about 15 miles south east of Oregon City. Additionally, a good portion of the cemetery is hidden in undergrowth. It looks like someone it taking care of the major portion of the cemetery, but the undergrowth nearest the road is not being cleared out.
