The Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch has become a tourist destination for residents out of Portland Oregon. For over 45 years the Pumpkin Patch has been a place for fresh produce and a place to pick you own Halloween pumpkins. In addition they have what was one of the first Corn Mazes in Oregon, a great flower garden for pick your own flowers, a petting zoo, and a small food cart. It can get pretty cold out here sometimes so being able to get a cup of warm cocoa or coffee is a welcome perk.
Directions
From Portland head north on Highway 30 of off I-405. You’ll go through the North West Industrial area and then through the town of Linnton. Follow the signs to the right to Sauvie Island and cross the bridge. At the bottom of the bridge turn left. There will be signs for the Pumpkin Patch here, along with several other local farms. Follow NW Gillihan Road for about a mile. The Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch will be on the left. Signs will point to parking and at busier times there will be parking attendants to point where to go.
Parking is free, but be sure to bring weather appropriate clothing. And be prepared for mud on rainy days.
