Sorry, it took me so long to get back to ya, never got a notification that you’d responded. Anyway, there’s two Bonanza, Oregons. One, the ghost town in Baker County, and the other an incorporated town in Klamath County. So I’m not quite sure why I brought up the latter… Bonanza (Baker County) Was a small mining community, its name derived from the Bonanza Mine and Mill, the main employer of the town. While as far as I can tell the town’s colloquial name was Bonanza (from references in literature, mostly), the name of the post office and thereby the official name of the town was Geiser.

There are still some remains at the town-site today.
