Ghost town of Vanport Oregon

Class A(None)

Vanport was built to house workers during WWII at the Portland and Vancouver Kaizer Shipyards. It was built in the flatlands between the two cities along the Columbia River. On May 30, 1948, the dike broke and flooded the town so much that it never recovered.
