Ghost Town of Sherman Washington

Name: Sherman
Class: B2
GPS:47.827788, -118.604298
Directions: From Wilbur Washington, head east on US-2. At 4.3 miles turn left on Sherman Draw Rd N. The road comes to a weird four way stop after another 4.3 miles, Halvorson Canyon Road is immediately to the right. Just past that is Sherman Road East also on the right. Take that for just under a mile. The townsite was at the corner of Sage Hen Draw Road.

Description: Sherman was a wheat growing town in the late 1880’s. It was named for George Sherman who was also the first post master in 1885. Unfortunately the post office closed in 1905 as people moved away. [zotpressInText item=”VB558W5D” format=”%num%”]
