Painted Hills, Oregon
Six months later, as part of a tour of Ghost Towns in Eastern Oregon, I find myself in the Painted Hills yet again. This time I DO have HDR technology.

I’m personally a bit flummoxed by the interest in “street photography”. Maybe I do not see the inherent beauty in it, or perhaps the human element is too puzzling for me.
But Garry Winogrand saw differently. I’d never heard of him until reading this article. His approach to street photography seems pretty chaotic, yet the results he got were awesome.
It seems that with newer point and shoot digital SLRs, this kind of photography should really be taking off. A couple of hundred pictures could easily be taken, more so if you’re shooting with smaller file sizes. Either way it’s something I’m going to have to try.

Digital Photography School posted a short video on taking night photos with digital SLR cameras. Wish I had seen this a couple of nights ago.
