  • I grew up in Fort St James, and my dad worked at Pinchi Lake mine for Cominico in the late 1960’s and 1970’s. I remember going fishing and camping in the summers on Pinchi Lake, and having vivid memories of abandoned cabins and houses at the end of the lake and at the mine site. I know during the war, there was a mining camp there – my parents actually met there. Dad was a baker and my mom worked in the kitchen. The houses always struck me as so strange and interesting at the same time. I have wanted to know more about the history of this area especially as it relates to my parents and their history.

    • Thank you for stopping by, I’m hoping to get up there to check it out myself real soon!
